As per PMBOK, “a project constraint is a limiting factor that affects the execution of a project, program, portfolio or a process.”
There are six project constraints as recognized by PMBOK. These are- scope, budget, time, resources, quality, and risks.
All these factors have profound impacts on project delivery. However, without an effective and efficient management system, these limitations will derail the project and lead to overruns.
